About Me
For over 41 years I've been delivering technology solutions creating greater efficiencies while increasing productivity and enhancing team-work. I work to foster enthusiasm and deliver exemplary customer service experiences resulting in more impactful and value based engagements. Excellence is strived for by continuously improving utilizing fact based analysis considering integrity, quality, value and most importantly, the achieved results.
My first career job was in 1977 though not directly within the technology sector. This changed sometime between 1986 and 1989 while working as an accounts payable clerk for a truck stop operator Multi-Ventures, Inc. at the corporate site also known as the Sawyer Truck Plaza (at the time a Union 76 then Unocal and now TravelCenters of America). After a Corvus Systems disk sub-system failed the company accountants, Crowe Chizek from South Bend IN, had it replaced with a new 4 node ARCNET Netware 286 network. This included a DAT tape drive backup, MS-DOS, Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet (with accountant engineered macro driven sales sheets) and pre-Microsoft Great Plains accounting software. Needless to say this change was the crystalizing event providing the foundation for my ever successful, impactful, and rewarding career in, and with, information systems technology!
Origins of Computer-Ron Moniker
Some 20+ years later, while working on contract for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) (port HQ located at 330 2nd Avenue at the time) at the Minneapolis International Airport (MSP) I had a coffee mug where a label "computer" was placed on it. The mug had been purchased from my government "handler", the venerable Mr. Mike Nelson, who also happened to like purchasing things in bulk so he could turn around and sell them to his family, friends and associates (for profit, "naturally"). However, now with two identical cups in close proximity whenever he visited the airport, in order to distinguish them, a label "computer" was placed on mine. This lead to the best method a CBP Officer could use for getting prompt Tech Support before or during processing of passengers from a "blocked" international flight being a page over the Customs intercom system that sounded something like "Computer-Ron to booth 3! Computer-Ron to booth 3!".
By 2008 after this had organically become a MSP CBP operational norm I decided to purchase the domain.
FYI: Blocked was a term used at MSP and paged overhead warning on duty CBP Officers passengers will soon be disembarking the plane because the planes wheels have literally been "blocked" (come to a complete stop and prevented from moving by having an object placed behind the tires). In other words, a warning passengers are soon on their way so get to your assigned booth ASAP. I mention this only because it was sometime before realizing what the page meant and I heard it many times almost every day.

Michigan Sovereign Commons, Hancock, MI
Founder - Intent Driven • 2026 - Present
Mi Sovereign Commons (MiSovereignCommons.org) exists to facilitate the awareness necessary to restore the sacred triad of Information, Knowledge, and Wisdom by revealing the inverted mechanisms of extraction and dependency that poison our food, water, air, and minds. I believe TRUTH is the Foundation: Wisdom cannot grow on soil contaminated by illusions. Whether it is a corrupted Window, Linux kernel or a corrupted food supply, the root cause is the same: a system designed to hide the truth from the human being.
Michigan Upper Peninsula Technology Information & Knowledge Commons, Hancock, MI
Founder - Mission Driven • 2026 - Present
Mi Upper Peninsula Technology Information & Knowledge Commons (MiUPTech.com / MiUPTech.org / MiUPTech.net) have come to realize the age we live in has become one of designed obsolescence, enforced dependency, and surveillance capital. The "Tech Industry" is not a benevolent force. It is a con. Complexity is not a feature; it is a barrier to keep you dependent. Silent processes are not "modern design"; they are control mechanisms to hide the work being done (or not done). The "Black Box" is a lie. There is no magic; there is only knowledge withheld to sell a subscription. The "Expert" is a gatekeeper, often unknowingly, paid to ensure you need them, not to empower you to fix it yourself.
